What counts as a "member"?

Active members in good standing — including dues-paying members, endowed life members, and perpetual members.

If a member holds active status in your organization, they count — whether they pay annual dues or their dues were prepaid through an endowment or perpetual membership. Lapsed members, event attendees, and newsletter subscribers don't count. Your tier is based on real members, not inflated contact lists.

Every plan. Every feature. Every user.

Other platforms charge extra for support and training. We include them because the software only works if people actually use it. Our enterprise clients hit 95-100% adoption across their local groups. That doesn't happen by accident.

  • Full help desk support for every user — Not just admins. Not just parent-office staff. Every member who needs help gets it directly from our team.
  • ~100 training sessions per year — Live, scheduled training sessions so your people always have somewhere to turn.
  • Website with calendar and news — A real website for your organization, not a page on someone else's platform.
  • Communications and email tools — Reach your members directly. No separate MailChimp subscription needed.
  • Payment processing integrated with dues — When a member pays online, it records on their history and credits their account automatically. No reconciliation.
  • File storage — Public, private, and member-only file libraries. Your documents live where your members already are.
  • Organizational continuity — Data and processes survive officer turnover. Secretary to secretary, treasurer to treasurer, year after year.
  • 99.998% uptime — Your members can count on it being there when they need it.

Getting started right.

Onboarding is separate from your subscription — because doing it right takes real, hands-on work.

For Solo and Community groups, concierge onboarding is included with your plan. We walk you through setup, data migration, and configuration until you're up and running.

For Enterprise clients, onboarding is a professional services engagement. Migrating an entire jurisdiction — data from spreadsheets, Access databases, or another platform, configuration for your organization's specific rules, and training for every local secretary — is significant work. We price it honestly because proper onboarding is why our enterprise clients reach 95-100% adoption. Vendors who skip this step aren't saving you money. They're just making adoption your problem.

Let's talk about the real cost.

When organizations compare us to alternatives, the sticker price sometimes gives them pause. We get it.

But here's what most membership platforms don't include in their price: support for your actual users. They'll support your central office staff — maybe — and leave everyone else to figure it out on their own. When your local secretaries and treasurers have questions, your staff becomes the help desk.

That's not free. That's a hidden cost you absorb in staff time, frustration, and low adoption.

Groupable includes full help desk support for every user at every level. We run roughly 100 training sessions a year. That's not an add-on or a premium tier — it's the base price.

When you factor in everything that's included, Groupable's total cost of ownership is lower than alternatives that look cheaper on paper but leave your organization to fill the gaps.

Solo plan example

A 250-member lodge pays $399/year — $1.60/member with full support and training included. A comparable WildApricot plan starts at $810/year for 250 contacts, and support is extra.

Common Questions

What counts as a "member" for per-member pricing?
Active members in good standing — that includes dues-paying members, endowed life members, and perpetual members. If a member holds active status in your organization, they count toward your tier, whether they pay annual dues or their dues were prepaid through an endowment or perpetual membership. Lapsed members, event attendees, and newsletter subscribers don't count. The member count is based on your actual data in the system — and because Groupable's data accuracy is the foundation of everything we do, you can trust the number.
How does Solo tiered pricing work?
Solo pricing is based on the number of active members in good standing in your group. Pick the tier that matches your size. If your membership grows past your current tier, we'll move you up. If it shrinks, we'll move you down at renewal.
Is there a setup fee?
For Solo and Community plans, concierge onboarding is included at no extra cost. For Enterprise clients, onboarding is a separate professional services engagement — scoped to your jurisdiction's size and needs. We're upfront about this because proper onboarding is real work, and it's the reason our enterprise clients hit 95-100% adoption.
What's included in support?
Everything. Our help desk supports every user in your organization — not just administrators, not just your central office. A brand-new member who can't figure out how to pay their dues gets the same direct support as your Grand Secretary. We also run roughly 100 live training sessions per year and provide in-person training at annual events for enterprise clients.
Can we start with Solo and upgrade to Enterprise later?
Absolutely. Solo is built on the same platform as Enterprise. If your organization grows and starts adding chapters — becoming a parent body itself — we can scale with you. Solo to Community to Enterprise, all on the same platform. Your data, history, and configuration come along for the ride.
What is fraternal partner pricing?
Recognized Masonic organizations receive enterprise pricing at $1.25 per member/year instead of the standard $2 rate. This applies to organizations under the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America, the Confederación Masónica Interamericana, and the Conference of Grand Masters Prince Hall Masons, as well as any Grand Lodge or appendant body in amity with the United Grand Lodge of England — including their appendant and concordant bodies. The $2,500/year minimum still applies. Contact us to get started.
