George Washington believed that to obtain real progress, the power must go to many contributors, not one. It is in this spirit that we created One Dollar Helps. One vote, or one dollar; multiplied many times over; makes a huge impact. Often we hear about charitable efforts overseas to less advantaged countries, but who is there to help us? Our own citizens are in need too. What of our children, families, students, veterans, communities, and businesses? We offer a way to help.
Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of people who can't otherwise get assistance, one dollar at a time. We donate anonymously because we don't want acknowledgement, only for the recipient to pay it forward. The power of one is more than you can imagine. One person, one dollar can make a difference. Imagine what an impact we could make by giving $1,000, $5,000 or even $50,000 to someone who doesn't know where else to go. What does it cost you? A few coins from your couch, or the tip you give your barista. Please, donate just one dollar; or more if you feel inclined. A small amount can add up quickly and make a big impact!

Another of our goals is to give assistance to artists and musicians who need exposure. Our plan is to open a shop for prints, CDs, and other merchandise, with a portion of the proceeds going to One Dollar Helps. We don't have it set up yet, but stay tuned for the opportunity to buy great art and music and lend a hand to our cause. .
